Whey Alternative...

I am sure that not everybody here is professional bodybuilders. most of us have a job that goes from 8 to 5. I review my diet lately and notice that I have been depending a lot of whey drinks thru out the day. I want to change that into more natural food source. The thing is that i don't wanna eat too much carb thru out the day because I am trying to keep my carb under 30%.

Can anybody give me some suggestions on what high protein natural food (but low in fat and low in carb) that one could bring or QUICKLY microwave at 10:30AM and 3:30PM of the day?

I know that Tuna is good for that and I can down a can if I premix it w/ fat free mayo and Mrs. Dash. But is there any other good alternatives?

Thanks in advance.

Well it's going to be hard to find something that you will be able to microwave. I too have a 8-5 job schedule, so the night before I prepare everything oatmeal, chicken breast, tuna, potatoes, ground meat, salmon, anything I want I just prepare it the night before, another thing is that I try to consume a large breakfast, eggs toast, milk cottage cheese. i know it gets tiring but if it was easy, everyone would do it. After you get accustom it will be like 2nd nature. I hope this helped

If you have a frig at work you can just cook up your lean cuts of red meat, chicken and turkey at home. Take them to work in tupperware, heat and eat. If not, they also sell canned chicken that is precooked or you could make your own jerky.

I grill 10 chicken breasts every Sunday night and put them in containers to bring to work. I also sometimes bring deli turkey by the 1/2 pound on days that I'm sick of chicken. I usually have 10 cans of tuna at any given time in my desk. All of these are good sources of protein that are easily portable.
