This is a picture of my freezer after I filled it with the 1/4 of beef I bought yesterday. I was worried that I wouldn't' be able to fit it in there (the beef you perv). It's 113 lbs overall. I've got a lot of eating to do now.

Well, for the beef it cost me $280, I think. I haven't actually paid the guy yet he wasn't at work today, and for the processing I paid $59. so overall $340 which comes to $3/lb. THe meat is absolutely WONDERFUL though. the bull was only 10 months old when it went in so the meat is VERY tender and flavorful.

I ordered 60 4oz strips from K.C. today ($150.00), 8 grams of fat 22 grams of protein in each of those bad boys.....no gristle, no fatty cutaway....just yummy steak...ya gotta eat two or three at a time, but it's all good...... :)

This meat is also very lean. That's one benifit of it being a bull. Also, the guy I bought it from feeds them grain the last 100 days which also helps a lot.

You lucked out...or you have a better supplier...I split a bull with my brother last year, and I wasn't that pleased with the meat, plus I'm a strip and filet kinda guy and there are too many cuts this way..........either way though...I have serious freezer envy... :p

I also got a kick ass scale! you tell it what you're weighing and it gives you the cals, fat, carbs, protein, cholesterol, sodium, everything. It rocks!

If you're wondering where i'm gunna put the rest of my food, I'm going to use my fridge. I eat stuff I buy at the grocery store pretty quickly so it doesn't have time to go bad before it's gone.
