Where's MM69? I have a guitar question

Anyways ... here's my question.

In the new movie "August Rush" the kid plays a style of acoustic guitar with both hand up at the neck.

I'd like to get some acoustic music in that styling if anyone can recommend some.

bro; I"m not sure I understand your question; you can do that with any song or guitar; of course you would want a neck radius that is wider and flat...send me a youtube or pic.

I'm want to purchase similar style acoustic guitar music as the kid plays in the trailor of "August Rush".

I've actually seen a few solo musicians in local clubs play that way through the years, but I don't know any recording artist or how to search for that style.

There's a very short example at about 1:36 into this trailer:

So where is my fav nig from Boston?

Yo; well I checked it out and pretty much agree with listening to some Michael Hedges; with that said if you haven't played guitar before I would suggest you just learn the traditional style then move your picking hand up higher as you become more proficient; they bang down alot making a lot of harmonics also...

There was also a guy at woodstock that had a similar style; I'll try to find it.

I'm not interested in learning to play the guitar. I have a Yamaha P250 professional digital stage piano. Just like that style of music.

thx for the reply

all the Richie Havens toons I've heard that approached that style included vocals :)

I'm looking for just solo acoustic guitar.

All Richie Havens does is use an open tuning and barre the frets with his thumb.
