Ephedra is basically ephedrine HCL, just ephedra is the natural herbal form, where as ephedrine HCL is created in a lab (extracted from ephedra, I believe)


As for the 20 year olds dying while taking, that's because they were stupid. Not getting doctor checkups, not staying hydrated, taking way to much and then going out in 100 degree weather to workout will tend to cause some problems. The government is just blaming ephedra, using it as a scapegoat. Countries like Canada still have it fully available and legal because they know there is no real health risk if taken CORRECTLY.

Some GNC guy told me a couple women took 3 x the recommended dosage daily (Hydroxycut with Eph), as if that would speed up the results. Full dose was 4 pills 3x a day LOL I can't imagine taking 3 x that!
