It was Maynard's old roommate, and Maynard kicked him out. Then the guy left that message on his answering machine. That was the actual message.
Who sent that to you, it's kinda funny when you hear it for real, I know it sounds fucked up, but he is just pissed

they got that on their answering machine from... fuck - it was either their landlord or a friend of the landlord.
