Here in Knoxville, you can either experience Knoxville as a "College Town" (The University of TN -- 40,000+ students), or as an extremely low-cost, high-quality-of-life set of suburbs, or drive 20 minutes and be in the middle of the highest concentration of scientific and engineering Ph.D.'s in the world (Oak Ridge).

It's actually quite cool that way.
