I've been told that the beach is a little scary though because two feet out from the water line, the floor drops off like 30ft. . .easy to get in. . .hard to get back out.

Puerto Penasco is ok, too - if you're on the cheap.

I'm going to Cabo next year.

I've only ever been to Cancun......to an all-inclusive also.....

Used to live in Texas so went to Mexico a lot. Not tourism towns, just the little places. Best to stay in tourism towns. It is pretty rough down there. If you intend on driving down there. Leave your car state side, rent one in Mexico with Mexico plates. Stay off the radar. Not trying to scare you but last time I was in Texas (few months ago) an american woman was kidnapped, along with her kids, and her hands were cut off. Not a lot of good blood between the two governments right now. Be safe.
