Where do you look up nutritonal values?

what site do you use to look up nutritional values?

also i remember having a software program on my pc that i would just type the food in the search function and it would look it up and give the entire nutritional breakdown. i got it for free. dont remember what it was called but cant find it in my pc anymore.

can someone help me out?

i actually found the program on my pc. its the USDA srt17 program that does a search without using the internet. its soemthing u download.

seems a little TOO thorough though.

I bought a book that tells me just about any food, and also it differs on how it's cooked, etc...

then maybe u can explain something. when looking up calories its labeled as energy. its measured in kcal and kj. whats the diff?
