cypress hill talks about el segundo

i went to san clemente high
nothin special..just a bunch of stoner surfer kids

We had the fastest white kids in SOCAL on our track team. I was one of the slower ones and I still ran the 200m in under 23 seconds. My 400 time was 45 sec. Of course to compete with the surrounding SOCAL schools we had to be fast, especially considering at the time, El Segundo was a predominantly white school.

damn man..that is MOOOVIN!!
i know alot of the SOCAL schools have always had amazing sprinters

I started slowing down a bit around my junior year because I had started getting into more serious BBing so I was putting on mass like crazy. My senior year I still ran, but only the 200m, but my best time that year was a 23.2. I did get into shot put and did well with that. Meand my two team mates actually took gold at State. It was funny because I was the smllest shot putter in the state but I out put everybody. My average puts were over 60 feet.

M.D. Collins High in Atlanta...long since closed and reopened as Ron McNair Middle School. Alma mater of R&B producers Dallas Austin and Kevin Wales.

Spent 12 years on the banks of the 3 rivers and now I'm back in the NC but a little further north. :)

Cool, I was born in Wellsboro, lived most of my life in Williamsport, tho.

My sister-in-law teaches at Curtain. I get down home a few times during the summer to ski the river and knock back some cold ones with my brother. . .still love that area. . .still feels like home to me. :)

Andress High School in El Paso, Texas. If you've ever seen Dazed & Confused you got an amazingly accurate look at what my high school life was like in late 70s Texas.

I was going up for opening weekend of trout season but missed it because of work. Curtin middle school? My little sister's daughter goes there, I believe.

Dude, I think my paternal grandmother was born there. Isn't it off of route 6? My dad was born in Meshoppin (Wyoming county) and we're going to Tunkhannock next weekend for golf.

Yes, It's right on Route 6. Probably another 70 miles west of Tunkhannock. Still has gas lamps in the center of the streets.

Gen Wesley Clark graduated from the same HS I did.

Dale Dye graduated from my Military School. He still wears his class ring in every movie. Got to meet him and chat for a bit when he came back to M.M.A. to visit. He told me Hollywood was "one big bed". LOL.
