Lots of weight-gainers contain ALA. I'm not sure if this has any significance, though.

My friend used to put it in water, ,but he said it tasted horrible. It's a derivative of sulfur he said, so that's pretty much what it tastes like straight. I'd stick with the caps.

It quickens the time it takes for glucose uptake.

The powder from BAC says one of those little spoon things is 250 mg... I did my best to equate that to 1 cap (00 size) and I think it's about 300mg per cap when tampered. Sound about right?
