I know Mommakin is in T.O. like myself. I'm hopefully moving just off of danforth next month. It will be the first apartment that I have owned by myself and I'm pretty excited.

So, where are ya?
 
umm were you under the impression we lived in igloos up here?
hard to believe, but, there are houses up here too..:rolleyes:

No Mom, thats rediculous. I was asking out of wonder. Like in Europe, the houses/apartments are real close and high. I was asking an honest question. Thanks for the answer. Now I know not to ask a canadian a question.
 
no no..my bad, Kahn....the reason for my response was I was under the assumption, you, like alot of other ppl in the world, think we live in igloos in Canada and that it is always winter and cold here......we do have both houses and apts. here......especially in the big cities, there are lots of apt. buildings......they take up less space and can house more ppl and tend to be cheaper to live in then houses.....

Glad I was wrong Mom. Can you actually own the apartments? I am in northern Michigan and the wife loves Canada. I only like it in the summer. I have a hard on for wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide open land. Your winters are a bitch though. Bon Soo is cold as steel
 
Grew up in Ottawa, going to school in fredericton NB.

also, we have wide open land here....you do have apt.'s in MI and you do have condos......

I was right in my first assumption, you don't know anything at all about Canada.....like alot of ppl don't...

You won't find any open land in Toronto, perhaps if you go further north. Toronto has 3 million people, not huge but it's a pretty big city.
 
Sault ste Marie, ON is no colder that Sault Michigan...
driving home from there once I stopped in Gaylord MI, the lady at the gas station was like " goly your from Canada, it must be cold there "
I'm like, I'm heading south Mam, 3 yours south of here, its warmer there, what a redneck, god...
 
The immed. area of Toronto does not have any open fields, but, it seems as thoguh kahn was under the assumption none of Canada had any open fields or houses...
anyhow...I live in an igloo...

Mississauga, ON. Been here my whole life.

Hopefully moving to the city if everything goes according to plan. . . much closer to everything, school and play
 
I am from California, but I am about to move to montreal to live. I guess I won't techically be canadian, but close enough.

I would have guessed that Alberta is much more conservative than any large city in Ontario. The elected representatives reflect that.

But I'm not a Canadian, just a curious American (who is married to a Canadian, from North Bay):fro:
 
i wouldn't say that about calgary... but london i couldn't find anything decent to do in... well, i did frequent the keg in the south end... i used to live right by victoria park (pretty area). the basilica chiming was pretty nice, but the labatt brewery smell wafted over every once in a while... :(

I remember it snowed heavy here once, can I claim to know what it's like to live in Canada now..

Actually I'd love to visit Canada, 100 times more so than the USA !.

bouncer if you come only come in the summer,northern ontario is nice but south western ontario is pretty residential and malls all that rush rush shit,at my cottage up north bears and deer walk around it freely its beautiful

If you come you must visit Montreal. Its a little bit of everything, of every cultures. And yes we do have some Irish pubs !:stpatty: :beer:

bouncer, you'd be shocked to find out that there's almost no snow in some parts of Canada. In fact we have a desert in BC! No shit.

I live in Vancouver, BC! I've lived all over though. Europe, Asia, USA, and now here. It's my fav place, though I miss Red Bull from the US. Damn taurine! And to all your T.O. guys - you suck! There's NO DnB scene in this part of Canada. FUCKING HELL!

I loved Montreal. Parc Safari was fun too, the people in front kept feeding the animals marshmallows and a giant beast licked the steering wheel of our rental car.

I really want to go to that big mall in West Edmonton though, I've been wanting to go there for 7 years now.

I think there is. the Vinyl Syndicate boys were down there not too long ago and a lot of other T.O. guys. and on another forum i frequent there have been posts from a military soldier who's stationed there (van city) and says that there are events happening but not as much as T.O. where we have events every night of the week almost, mon,tues,thurs are off.:D
