When you count grams of protein - READ!

So I'm on a cycle with EQ. Was reading about peoples proteinintake per meal and per day. Some of you say you eat 50-60 grams per meal, is that from the "meat" or proteindrinks/bars or is it the hole meal with the protein in the pasta/rice/oatmeal or whatever. Need to know how you count. I get 300-350grams per day of protein, but that is with the protein in the pasta, rice and oatmeal as well. How do you count them.

I only count the grams from the primary sources, like tuna, chicken, whey. Those small amounts you get from carb sources like pasta or potatoes I just consider a bonus.:)

Everything here too. What good is it if you only count part of your protein intake?

i dont count pastas, oatmeals, or anything like that, just the essentials like whey powder, steak, beef, chicken, milk, eggs, and the other major foods

you count them all. you bodies total protein intake does not distinguish between whey and pasta. therefore it will use the lower quality AND the higher quality protein just the same. now if its a piece of bread at the end of the day or something like that....i'm just like fuck it. but if its a bowl of pasta with like 15-20 grams or something, or 6 pieces of bread.....now that impacts your daily protein intake no matter what anyone says. simple logic here. add up ALL the protein intake for the day. or else you are slightly retarded. not totally retarded now....just slightly. :freak:

Not all protien is equal.

If I had to rank them it would look something like this....

Whey
Egg
Milk
Steak
Chicken
Fish

I really don't count protein from other sources and consider that just "bonus" like some of the other memebers do. Using this mindset I get 100 - 150 grams from food and 100 - 150 from supplments.

my 2 cents
