When to do Cardio?

Yo, if you're trying to burn fat but grow in strength, whens the best time for cardio? Before lifting, or after lifting? AM PM? Length between? (I.E lift, then 3 hours later do cardio or, Lift, 20 mins later do cardio)
 
It's funny how this forum site is so different to bodybuilding.com/forum

That forum is really influenced by alan aragon. Whereas this forum suggests
- fruits are bad during cutting;
- AM cardio > cardio other times,

the opinion (overall) is the opposite on bodybuilding.com/forum. (Perhaps its just because haven't read through the keto pages re: fruit and cutting)

Is there any reason for the difference?

i dont see how burning 500cals in cardio is better than eating 500 cals less. and your motabolism can be raised through lifting.

Because eating 500 calories less can dip you below your BMR which causes a huge slowdown in metabolism whereas burning calories has no side effects unless you go crazy with the amount.
 
AM on empty stomach (have casein protein shake b4 bed to starve of catabolism). Your intensity will help dictate this as well. Stick with low to moderate (60-70% of max heart rate). I always did a 2nd session late evening (not directly after weights) to really kick things up a notch.
 
^^wat he said am empty stomach .. 2nd session in 1 day i never do ... get to scared im burn muscle.. others swear by it
 
i always do it right after i lift weights, less glycogen in your body as much of your stores have already been depleted from lifting weights, i would run in the morning when it is lowest but its just to hard to wake up. This seems to work best for me, and to put on strength while losing weight i usually just ate pretty clean but ate a lot, only homemade meals and ran like a mother fucker 6 times a week.
 
Ive just been doing this. Wake up, pop lipoflame and eat 1 serving of whey protein mixed with pure regular oatmeal and milk. 20 mins later tread mill or elliptical.
 
I think AM cardio has a couple other benefits, such as energizing you for the day and I seem to be in a much better mood, but honestly I think it comes down to just doing it. If your trying to cut the fat, just make sure your doing enough cardio, 30 to 45 mins is best and switch up and throw some HIIT every once in a while to shock your body and keep the results coming.

Cardio for me is done when my body is so sore from lifting that this is the only way to get in a workout. HAHA.
