was wondering what you guys thought? I dont usually eat any more than 50g carbs a day...all from veg and sometimes v. small portion fruit (eg strawberries).

I know there are benefits from carb rotating, but im not prepared to go higher than 50g per day..so wondering if there would be a benefit from having higher cals on a particular day to increase metabolism, or give the body a shakeup?

Not sure, but I've noticed during my first 2 weeks of a ckd, I skip the 1st carb load, I up fat for 2 days instead of carb loading and I usually look alot leaner after that. Sorry, no scientific explanation, but increasing cals on a diet is usually beneficial for a few days. Some would say to bumo carbs up for a day for thermic affect, leptin etc, but try it with fats (healthy, of course) and see what happens.

actually four weeks ago i was staying low on carbs and decided to eat less cals on weeknds (non lift days) and i noticed i was leaner on mondays... maybe its in my head but i think it worked for me... i just try and trick my body some times... some times it works and others it doesnt.... good luck! :)
