So let's hear it, when would you all say is time to cut it down, I think it's when your lats are so big everyone around you thinks you want a hug.

tough one to answer , i am 250lbs now and probably the biggest i have ever been , and dont feel anywhere near my potential , i feel small actually ?

muscle is tough to hold on too.. its not like its that easy to grow muscle and hold it. the bigger you get, the harder it becomes to keep that much muscle. your body is fighting you the whole way.

as long as you stay committed to this sport there is never enough muscle, its a very unique sport in that you can keep building muscle as you get older.. unlike speed sports where you start losing your speed in your mid to late 20's and then have to become more of an endurance athlete.

When my car stereo is loud enough.....never. When boobs are big enough....never When my ride is fast enough.....never. Same concepts really.

agreed and for those of us that use aas etc we dont really experience the drop off as we decline with age, that coupled with slowling metabolism , i find i grow much easier and bigger now at 34 than i did in my 20's

This is very true , if you notice men start losing there muscle tone and mass in there late 40's. Weight lifting prevents this muscle wasting effect and is the only effective means to continue building muscle even into later years of your life.

^^^my neighbor who visits my gym is 45 but looks 25.. he is built like a horse.. not just muscular but he is ripped to shreds. 2 guys i lift with at my gym one is 50 and the other is late 40's.. both are the sole members of my gym in the 500lb bench club

i would say the next 15-20 years will be great if I can stay healthy.. i am still not in my prime whereas in almost any other sport i would be in decline, thats why i love this sport

Too big?

When it negatively impacts your health and longevity. Just my opinion.

I know all of us have unique goals. Because of my profession and chosen sport 220 is my personal limit and in all reality that's too big.

I've been up in the 250's at 5'10" and was completely miserable. I can't imagine the burden of carrying and maintaining pro BBing type of muscularity.
