When do i know to increase weight in 5x5?

hey everyone...i've been doing the 5x5 for 2 weeks...and i have raised weight on every exercise (except abs and hypers) - week 1 i started bench at just the bar (you can laugh now) then increased weight by 5 for each rep - this was surprisingly easy seeing as how before i started lifting in june i could only bench 10 on each side for only like 2 reps - i did 25 on each side last week for 5 reps so im guessing thats a good increase since i started working out... then i increased bench this week to starting at 5 lbs and ending at 30 lbs i had alot of trouble with the last set with 30 on each side but i got them each up with no help - just slow and with alot of exploding even though its such a low amount of weight

on squats week 1 i didn't know how much i should start with so i started with 1 plate on each side...then went up to 50, 55, 60, 65 to finish on each side and it went pretty smoothly

i increased this to 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 this week and felt it ALOT more and was hurtin after that last set even though i did all 5 reps no problem keeping my form more importantly...

so i was wondering...this upcoming week should i try to start bench at 10? and increase by 5 everytime? or should i do the same weight for another week and maybe try increasing my 4th week? same Q for squats?

thanks everyone for your input

I hope your doing the single factor novice 5x5. The periodized one would be too much for you right now.

Yeah, I would start adding wieght now. Just take it slow and add 5 to ten pounds every week..

You can increase weight on just the top set if you want. Not every set has to be bumped- increase one, some or all set(s) depending on how you think it will go.

if the single factor 5x5 is the one where i do squat/flat bench/hypers/sit-ups then yes im single factor...otherwise i dont know what i am...

ill try this guiness...just trying to increase top set or maybe a midd set...just got back trying to increase inclined bench to max at 25 on each side (last time i maxed at 20) and i could only do 3 reps by myself :( so that kinda pissed me off
