ive noticed a lot of e hate towards lestat lately and his e popularity is in decline, im not sure why, so its up to you to answer when it all went downhill

that was the upswing really.. I don't think many people knew who I was before that.. I met a lot of good bros who I am still e friends with today because of the squad. got a lot of people involved.

The gift certificate thing was the jump the shark... and its funny because I told George it would be seen as "selling out" and he was like "who gives a fuck?" and I have to agree.
 
also, a couple things..

I never "formed" the good bros, there is no GROUP or organization of good bros.. I've explained how the whole "good bro" phenom came to be but suffice it to say, it was mocking the phrase (that should never be said) from day 1.

And EF isn't really a popularity contest, you could be the most popular e-bro on here and at the end of the day still a loser.

i think it started recently, but i wasn't here much, so i'm not sure. but i don't think any of the first 4 apply. those are relatively old news items, and he seemed to make it through because peeps don't care. my impression is that getting tied in more closely with EF's customer service miracle machine (i.e. gift certs) engendered some bad blood on the part of his fellow members.

thanks for recognizing that. It comes naturally, its all part of the game really... I'll have a dude bad mouthing me on the board on minute but PMing me about any variety of subjects the next. I think most people realize that a whole lot of what is said on here is not serious.

As far as jumping the shark goes, people hated the bomb squad, but it didn't hurt my overall popularity because the admin and mods also hated it..

but once i did the gift certificate, it was apparent that I was colluding with "the man" and that really turned the people against me.

I don't see what the big deal is really, I didn't mean to rip off anyone. You are correct in your original observation that the gift cert by itself really couldn't get you anything... it was more of a $20 off coupon.. "save $20 when you spend $30 or more.." type of thing...

was it deceptive, NOT INTENTIONALLY, but I can see how people would get charged when it was not intended.

He revamped it and it flopped, since then he's been hanging around, hoping to come up with the next big thing but the more he posts the more we all realize that he's an idiot and we'd be even stupider to put something in our bodies that he came up with.

its funny how the admin and board owners are kind of looked at like satan here.. I've tried to defend them before but people just think i'm a kiss ass or on the payroll..

I guess I'm a fan of not biting the hand that feeds me.. and by feeds I mean the people that maintain this place for us and make it what it is.

Because I don't do anything for NO reason, the "who gives a fuck" attitude is what doesn't stop me from doing something like the e-flirt PM, or the gift certificate, but after the fact when my motives or intentions or questiosn, I will explain my thought process. This is a message board, a chat and conversation one, and if people wan't answers or explanations, I am happy to oblige. I'm fortunate that others even give a fuck to ask ya know? that was the overwhelming response.. I got a flood of PMs from people who thought it was the funniest thing they have seen on EF.... the only real haters were a small handful of C&C people really..
