Protein. My bulking diet is essentially the same as my cutting diet, only I eat more of it. I up the carbs somewhat, but it still comes out to about 40/30/30.

Gymtime - I have done this also, but have experimented this bulking phase with more carbs successfully! Infact I barely get the traditional "1 gram per pound of bodyweight" and am gaining just fine. Just something to ponder......

What does your p/c/f ratio look like while bulking?

i know this question wasnt for me but i just want to share, i did 50/30/20 carbs/pro/fat for my bulking diet and i gained 26 lbs and strength went through the roof! i broek all my plateus and gained a ton of strength and size, though it was also my first time using a bulking diet so this prolly was a big factor too.

A 50/30/20 split is quite ideal in terms of bulking, IMO. The fact it was your first ever bulking diet would have meant your body was primed for growth, but nevertheless, your gains are impressive.

When I bulk I usually do 50/30/20 (carb/pro/fat) as well. Works pretty good for me. Sometimes I'll even go higher on the carbs like 55/25/20. The important thing is getting enough calories and spreading out the meals as much as possible.

When I am just eating normally (and happily...lol)...I try to get in about 200grams of prot and however much carbs and fat I want. I don't pay much attention to it really.

When I am getting ready for a contest (bulking), I try to eat 300grams of prot and 5-600 grams of carbs a day. Fat..well...I get plenty of that along with the other foods. The last 2 weeks before a contest...I try to eat a ton of everything.

carbs

definately more carbs...just to pack in the calories...but im blessed:D with a WONDERFUL metabolism....it goes into building muscle for the most part...never lay down fat.

Ummmmm...(as B True finishes his large Domino's pizza)...pizza is universal...isn't it? :)

I've had over 600g carbs today...350ish protein. No idea on fats but I spared nothing. Squatting in the morning.

Its all about balance you can only take in so many carbs/protein at once. Your body doesnt store protein, so any excess protein that isnt used is pissed out of your system. And your body can only store around 500g of carbs in glucose form...after that its stored as fat. Thats essentially why eating little and often is better for you-among other reasons. Try and have around 30/30/40 (protein/monounsaturated fat/carbs) as a general rule in your diet.

Carbs, when you're in a calorie surplus, protein doesn't have to be as high as when cutting.
Combo of carbs/fat for extra calories. Cuts down on cost of food too.
