I worked triceps and biceps.

close grip press- 4x6
elbows out extensions- 4x6
rope pushdowns- 3x12
tricep ext.- 3x8


hammer curls- 4x8,6,6,6
ez bar curls- 3x6
db preacher curls- 3x6

My close grip sucked because of a pain in my left wrist, but I still got a good pump today. This was my last workout combining tri's and bi's, next week I'm going back to chest and bi's, and back and tri's.

What did everyone else do today?
 
recovery day. lots of eating, drinking water, showers, and stretching! w00t!

oh, and tv.

i just got a copy of pumping iron. gonna watch that lol

Hey for deads do you do full motion from floor to full standing position??


Leg Day

Squats 315 x 12, 315 X 9 , 315 x 6, 325 x 4 : 30 Second rest between each set
One legged Lunges 225 x 8, 225 x 7, 225 x 5, 225 x 4 : 30 second rest BES
Leg Raises 4 sets
Leg Curls 4 sets
8 sets of the thigh machine outter and inner thighs.
8 sets for calves

do you mean when doing more than 1 rep? yes i go down touch the floor and pull again..sometimes ill reset and pull but most of the time i just touch and go

I keep feeling like im doing to little weight but when I try to go all the way down , my lower back feels like its about to be ripped out. I thought maybee I shouldnt be going down all the way. Prolly just my back is weak.

check your form? a loss of the arch in your lower back can cause that "ripping out" feeling

Hit those lats and bi's hard today!
 
you may find that your lower back is weak especailly if you haven tdone deasd before..get your form down first..once you have it then start to add weight but still keeping your form strict..ive only been doing deads about 10 months but i literally started with the bar just to get my form right!! heres a clip of ed coan copy his form and youll be fine..watch the end part of this vid its in slow motion..now when doing multiple reps you want to put the weight back down to the start position and then pull it again..

Seems like a lot of people had back day today....this is my vertical pulling session that I did tonight...probably just going to make different workouts though with rows and vertical pulling in each

Pullups BW+35 8,5,4
tried a set of wide grip pullups but didn't feel them in lats at all
2 sets of pulldowns 1 close grip 1 parallel grip
Pullover Machine-think I am outgrowing this though, not a big guy by any means but I had some shoulder discomfort 2 sets 15 setting
Seated Bent Over laterals with 25's
seated DB cleans for rotators

Barbell Curls
and forearm work


Any reason why you guys are doing pulldowns instead of pullups? Maybe I will add them for one of my back workouts as pullups drain a ton of my energy
 
dont do lat pulls just because more of us are doing them..i can only speak for myself: i was always fairly strong squatted and benched 315 as a jr in HS..however i was lucky if i could do 2 pullups..back then i was just a punk and said oh well why bother..and ive never really tried them since..i know they are not the same but if i do lat pulls first i would have no problem pulling 300 for reps which is more than my bodyweight..if you want to add them for variety thats cool but i think pullups really are better...
 
Some heavier guys can't get enough reps with chins. Personally I feel if you can't get 4 sets of at least 8 reps you're better off doing pulldowns. I've seen some terrible form from people on chins.

Struck down 380 and 275x17 on flat bench. A fun time. Got arms later today, after my nap. Its 9am which usually means bedtime for me. I may stay up for a double lifting shift and catch up on sleep later tonight.
 
DE squat day, 8x3 below paralles box squats at 300. Maybe some deads, not sure, my back has been a little sore. If not i will replace with either good mornings or Romanian deads, and will be doing some pullthroughs and abs.
