Two years of college, then got married and raised my family and partnered in business w/the ex instead of finishing. Yes, I know - braindead move of the century. Wanted to return to become a physician's assistant while still married but wasn't "allowed"... "We dont have tuition money. Besides, who would watch the kids while you are in school/studying?"
Pocketfull of excuses, I know.
I've enrolled in nursing school to begin in the fall (that is, if my transcripts made it in on time - had to pay a fine for some books that I supposedly checked out 20 years ago). If not, then I will begin in winter of 2007.
I believe that I will lose all the college credits that I earned back in the day - completed my core curriculum but that and $2.11 will get me an extra lg coffee at the local Dunkin Donuts.
All of my daughters will go to college and finish - period... so they dont have to struggle like their mother. They have lived why a good education is important. God willing it will stick.
