right now nurses aid...i so want to deliver babies..i dont know why but i have wanted to do it since i had my 1st born son......it is weird...people ask how will i be able to deliver a still born and see the mothers pain and stuff, i have yet to figure that one out.....but all i know is it is a goal for me....either that or work with babies who are in hospitals being their mommas used during the pregnancy..although i hear that is rough job and pain ful..i may not do it because i fear i will get too emotionally attached and kill the fuckin moms

My ex-girlfriend worked as an OR coordinator for many years untill she stopped getting any satisfaction out of it. SHe then went to work in labor and delivery and absolutly loved it. SHe said the worst part was having to check for dilation. Another co-worker of mine used to work in peds and said it got way too depressing. She had to transfer after a rough week where she went to four funerals in a week. I have a couple more semesters before getting my RN and have worked in just about every department as a floater NA II. It's a great profession with a ton of possibilities. Good luck with everything

thank you, same to you....do you have a rough idea of what you want to do?

In university now.

The plan is to become something in the medical field. A doctor. I just have to get my feet moving and keep the momentum going.

Can't you choose a different major?

I have a BA in Geological Sciences from the University of Colorado. I also had about 40 extra credits on tope of my degree, too bad I couldn't transfer them to a masters, I'd be mostly done.LOL

MR dB- depends on the school, I have a BA because my school never go it changed to a BS from their original accredidation. The "weight" of my degree comes from the reputation of our department.

Cheers,
Scotsman
