What's your favorite buffet?

SeanHolmz

New member
Mine is CiCis all you can eat pizza...It's too bad I don't live near one anymore so now I stick to the Chinese Buffet.

Cmon' post up your favorite buffet or if you're not the buffet type...your favorite place to eat.

Ryan's or "homecookin" places are pretty good.

But Chinese Buffet is my favorite..since I don't eat it that often, everything seems new to me when I am there so I can sample alot of different things instead of tanking up on one or two favorites...

Now if a BBQ place has an AYCE night...all bets are off.

Here are the buffets that I frequently visit:

Golden Palace (Edmond)
Golden Palace (Oklahoma City)
Golden Palace (Norman)

I have also had some CiCi's, but the place is sloppy, dirty, and there are always kids running around screaming.

I stay away from Golden Corrall. . .talk about a pig pen. The food is bad.

Overall, the Chinese buffet is the place that I visit!!!

Racks of beef, seafood, and chinese food!

:) Cant beat it man. I am gonna' fuck it up tonight :)

Here in Oklahoma City,

There is Hometown buffet and numerous Indian restaurants. . .but no Super Buffet.

What is the price of a typical eating session?

$5-8 for lunch - $7-10 for dinner. Priceless when escorted out by three 5-2 oriental woman and a 5-3 man. :)

Damn. . thats cheap!!!

I bet the place is always busy!! Is it kept clean??

BTW, perfect food for fueling heavy training;) jerk. . .jerk. . .jerk;)

hell, I eat more than just the rice. . .and chicken

what about pork, rice noodles, fish, veggies, tapioca pudding, and cakes??

I sample everything!

you guys are amateurs. Try the Bellagio buffet in las Vegas.

Kinda tough to make it out there when I live in Long Island big guy. Besides I have had it and it is pretty good.

Lets make one thing clear. An amatuer is the man who can not finish his plate. I bet you'll find more amatuers in the Belagio than you will @ Super Buffet. :)

My buddy Sweazy is a freak when it comes to eating. . .af freak!!! He can put away 12 full plates of Chinese Food.

Of course, he is a heavyweight wrestler for a local college.

The man went from 197 to 245 in only a few months.

You would fall out of chair if you saw his diet. . I can post it if you want;) .

This info is quoted from another forum (wrestling forum)

Sweazy's Diet:

I have you beat on many occasions....only going off the seasons that I wrestled....

I out ate freshman heavyweight Josh LeadingFox at the All Chinese Buffet....he was full off of 5 plates....I ate 12...it was funny though because he ended up losing his fortune cookies on the sidewalk afterwards....

also about a week before school got out, I ate 5 different meals starting early in the morn:

4am- a whole box of Swiss Cake Rolls and a can of generic root beer

8:30 am- plate scrambled eggs, 1/2 plate hash browns with gravy, 3 slices french toast with peanut butter and syrup, 2 bowls of cinnammon toast crunch, 2 glasses of Oj, 6 glasses of milk, and a bowl of fruit.

11:45-12:50: (quick lunch) 1 patty melt, 1 slice of pizza, plate of beef stroganof, 2 ham/cheese/tomato/sourcream omelets, 4 glasses of milk, StankPasta-(concoction of spaghetti noodles, parmasean, american cheese, raspberry vinagarette, and cracker crumbs)

7:05-CiCi's Pizza ate 2 and a half pizzas by myself, baker's dozen of brownies, and then went to McDonald's about 30 minutes after finishing and ate a Double Cheesburger, Med. Fry and Large vanilla shake...

Guess that's why I'm up to about 245 from 195 huh?

Ponderosa's. We hit that up every Sunday after deadlifts/cleans. We have one rule though:

You MUST have ice cream as your first course.

:chomp:

Only buffet place i know around here is the Hometown buffet and theyre stuff is pretty good. last time i went there(loong time ago) i had about 8 plates i think? i guess that makes me an amature:P
Im getting hungry thinking about food i think ill go eat now.

You guys are animals. I can usually only get 3 good sized plates, plus 2 bowls of ice cream.

Since I don't like distended organs, I usually get one portion about the size of my stomach. I tend to max out the salad and meat. The only advantage to a buffet, for me, is if I'm there all day. I eat a small portion every couple hours.

...yeah, I'm boring.

I understand Spatts. . .I ate 3 meals prior to todays buffet. Did you see the diet that I posted that my buddy follows?;)

Talk about garbage power. . what do you think of the quality?:D

SuperShredder said:
hey louden, did your buddy gain mostly muscle ? or fat?

Well he wrestled, so he stayed pretty lean. . .he had some serious water gain and his face filled up like a balloon.

He had to cut about 30lbs from his natural weight to make 197lbs.

No growth or distention of the ab wall.

Have you tried the Seafood Buffet at The Rio? Holy shit it was simply amazing...expensive but if any of you get the chance...take it!

I'll try it next. Las Vegas buffets are a blast. Hopefully we will get a reasonable EF show up this year at the Mr. O and we can all hit a bunch of them.

Las Vegas has tons of buffets ,i went to at least 2 per day when i went theyre last year and most were pretty cheap too. cant beat that deal.

hey guys,do u think itd be alright to do a little bit of running like once or twice a weak to minimalize fat gain during my bulk or should i just say fuck it and sit back and gain as much as i can>?

in north carolina theres a place called the warf its 20 bucks a person but everything is there you would want it has the best seafood ever any seafood you want

2) super dino's diner 6.50 all you can eat breakfast food

3) some steak and grill place 9.50 for all the steak, pork, and chicken bbq style.

OK, here's the deal. I'm going to get flamed for not moving this thread to the diet forum if someone doesn't turn it into a training related thread.

So...

Could you maybe post about some massive PRs that were set after a binge one day, or something?

Thanks.

;)

hmmmm.... I hit my pr on deadlifting after carbing up the day before on all you can eat chinese food. yep 515 see what buffets can do for you

one time after working out me and some training partners went to Hong Kong Super Buffet and ate. its also my favorite buffet lately. is that training related enough? oh yeah i did 4 sets of getting up and filling my plate, supersetted with with figuring out why the hell anyone would want to use chop sticks, and thats why chinese people must be skinny.

We ate a Japanese Steak House the night before the Tulsa Meet (training related) and I remember thinking the same thing. I can use chopsticks...but why. And the whole "that's why they are so skinny" came to mind to.

Post your buffet PR's...

megad, I've been to fire and ice (the one in boston). It's awesome - all you can eat of all kinds of great food, like 20 bucks though. You put raw ingredients in a bowl and they grill/stir-fry it together for you. they have (raw) beef, pork, chicken, lamb, seafood, etc (all good cuts and fresh), veggies (including roast garlic, scallions, leeks, onions, as well as real veggies), sausages, lots of sauces, pasta and plenty of other stuff (burgers and ribs and pulled pork the time I was there). I'm planning on going there again in the fall a few times post-workout. need to be really hungry to get my money's worth, haha. Hate spending money on food

Damn. Thanks guys...........in an hour I will now be heading to China Buffet. Look out Beef and Broccoli!!!!!!!!!!

The World Buffet at the Rio in Vegas, Bellaggio's buffet, and the Mirage's buffet are the best. I usually don't go to buffets unless I'm on vacation.

the Golden Corral boo-faay is only 5 minutes from my house, 2 minutes from the gym. the serving area is kept clean but the bathrooms are discustin'. LOVE the ribs, liver and onions, and steaks.

there are a couple of good to very good chinese all you can keep downs in this area.

my overall favorite boo-faay is the Louisiana Purchase restaurant, a local place. they serve nawniz style food (shimp eaytoofay, shrimp creole, gumbo, dirty rice, meritons, okra and so on) that is DEATH to a diet:p :p :p......ask saint and kali!

CiCi's pizza mega load, a weakeness that i share with casavant, is too close to the house for my waist line's sake.

guess i'll never see a 32 inch waist ever again!:(

Furr's here in Dallas is like a cafeterua, except instead of $.60 for this and $1.25 for that, it's just $5 for all you can eat. Food is ok, not great. The worst thing is that, like most cafeterias, it is full of old people all the time...

hannibal----

can't recall if i told you before or not......awesome avitar, dude!:p

Only real buffet down where I live is Old Country Buffet so, I guess that would have to be my choice. Not bad though, me and a few friends go down there every so often and stay for about 3 hours to see who can consume the most food :D

So is there going to be an eating contest at Bluegrass or what??

I feel sorry for the joint closest to the comp.:p They'll need to do a remodel.

East buffet in Queens, NY. They have a shitload of good food, mostly asian ...

My gf and I always eat there and in the begining I used to always puke right afterwards because I ate everything and my stomach couldn't hold it. Now I just limit myself so I can at least hold in the calories. :D

East Buffet is my home. :)
