Whats wrong with my nuts?!

Started happening about 3 days ago, its an excruciating pain in my right testicle. I cant hardly sit down or walk, the feeling is like youve JUST been kicked in the junk. My fiance says it looks swollen, but she's not sure.

To really get an idea of what could be wrong, you should have a sonogram done on your jewels. Just to be clear this is NOT done with the device the ladies affectionatly refer to as the "boob vice". However, if you get a hard core feminazi radiology tech, she might try to have you put your family jewels in the"boob vice" On a serious note, the radiology tech is merely going to rub the little wand that they use on pregnant women's bellies to veiw the baby over your jewels.

Have them warm the jelly first as it can give you quite the shock if they put the jelly on cold-yes that comes from experience.

A good doctor who wants to get to the root of your problem and not risk long term complications, and using a sonogram will allow the doc to veiw, the vas defferens, the eppididimis, and the base of the cremesteric(sp?) muscles.

It is doubtful that you have a complete testiclular torsion becuase if you did, your right nut would have died due to a lack of blood flow by now. If they do an ultrasound on your jewels MAKE SURE that they do the doppler radar function to assess blood flow both venious and arterial.

A couple of questions/points, are the cremesteric muscles (lifts the jewels up and down in response to tempeture ect) working properly? Are these specific muscles tender? Second, don't let the doc assume that this problem is due to rough sex. If they believe that is you injured your jewels in that manner all they are likely to do is have you take 800mg of advil every eight hours for a few days.

Best of luck and may you not leave the doctors office half the man you used to be

What a Varicocele really is

Ilk said:
I think the pain is called Varicecole (excuse my spelling)... This is nothing serious purely simple... It is when sperm ducts become blocked and infected which is why there is occasional pain and discomfort along with occosional swelling....

That could be it... Don't think its anything serious though...

While this is a noble effort on the part of female EF member, this is not medically correct information, and as an owner of a pair of jewels, I feel like some clarification is needed.

What Is a Varicocele?

In all guys, there's a structure that contains arteries, veins, nerves, and tubes - called the spermatic cord - that provides a connection and circulates blood to and from the testicles. Veins carry the blood flowing from the body back toward the heart, and a bunch of valves in the veins keep the blood flowing one way and stop it from flowing backward. In other words, the valves regulate your blood flow and make sure everything is flowing in the right direction.

But sometimes these valves can fail. When this happens, some of the blood can flow in reverse. This backed-up blood can collect in pools in the veins, which then causes the veins to stretch and get bigger, or become swollen. This is called a varicocele (pronounced: var-uh-ko-seel).

Who Gets Them?

Although they don't happen to every guy, varicoceles are fairly common. They appear in about 15% of guys between 15 and 25 years old, and they mostly occur during puberty. That's because during puberty, the testicles grow rapidly and need more blood delivered to them. If the valves in the veins in the scrotum aren't functioning quite as well as they should, the veins can't handle transporting this extra blood from the testicles. So, although most of the blood continues to flow correctly, blood begins to back up, creating a varicocele.

Not unless your gear has given you a pair of rasins, the Doc is not likley to get too excited about you taking AAS and having this problem.

One of the main reasons I havent gone to a dr. is I cant seem to find an open minded one, because ive been on and off cycles for the past year, and if something is wrong I want someone who can help, not preach to me about it.

I was recently referred to a local doctor who apparently is amazing, but I cant get into him until later next week. Until then, does anyone have any comments or ideas what I should or could do??

Thanks
