Shit I haven't posted on here in a grip. Ok, this is my story. Ever since my mother's been sick. I've kinda become a homebody because it's only her and I. I really don't go out as much anymore; only to play basketball 2 days out of the week. I was pretty depressed and shit because of everything that was happening, and my body just went downhill. I'm down to like 195 or something. And my body overall looks like shit. I need to get myself active again. I figured that, until my sister moves back home to help me out with my mom, that I should invest in some type of bench to help get me started again. So with all that said, tell me what you guys think of this ok? Thanks for all the replies (when they come) http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/95002.html

Good luck with your mom Pure, Your a good guy for being by her side like that. I'm sure you will get back into better shape once this clears up. Props to you.:)

I have heard good stuff about that company, and hell - something is better than nothing. Get back in there and train!

Damn, man I wondered where you have been. I don't remember the last time I saw one of your post.

As far as home equipment goes. That is probably fine. But my recommendation would be to take 45 minutes 3 times a week and hit the gym. In situations like you are talking about. It is better for both party's in the long run.

Anyway, it is good to see you back and i hope everything works out for you.

Good luck

Thanks guys. The only thing I need down here is a bench and a straight bar to bench, squats, deadlifts, ect... I'll start off here and work my way back up and be even better than before!! Thanks for the support fellas

I can spend more money...anyone have any suggestions? I mean, I don't want a shitty bench, so if you guys can give me link to something of better quality with the pricetag not being outrageous, I'd appreciate it ;) Thanks again

Not sure about brands and stuff, but I think the only way to go is a power rack, maybe something like this:

http://www.fitnessfactory.com/Fitne...pg&itemid=288&secid=3&linkon=section&linkid=3

with an adjustable bench, dip attachments, and some adjustable dumbells (like Power Blocks or whatever they're called). A power rack is the only way you'll be able to get close to failure safely. I'll do some more searching and price checking for you later but I'm sorta busy now.

I'd go a few days a week to the gym if you can. I have weights, bench, etc. at my house. Some days (esp. in winter) I just feel like lifting at home. You can get decent workouts at home, but sooner or later you'll need to hit the gym again.

I have a link to a site that sells benches and stuff online. Their prices are cheap and the best part is that shipping is free!!!! -That's a lot of $ saved due to the heaviness of the benches and such. I would post the link to the site, but it's on my computer at home. I'll try to remember to do that this weekend.

Sorry to hear about your mom but bro. I agree though the gym is the best idea for everyone. It will help you unwind significantly. Ask a friend or neighbor to help with your mom when you go to the gym. I seriously doubt your mom would want you to be this unhappy about yourself.
