What's the difference between CLA and Omega-6 Linoleic acid?

CLA — Conjugated Linoleic Acid; Omega-6 — Linoleic Acids (i.e. found ((in addition to linolenic)) in Flax)

What's the difference? Is CLA an Omega-6 fat? If so, why would it yield weight loss when our diets are already high in omega-6 fats anyway?

Yeah CLA is a type of omega-6 fat. Except, it is conjugated. There is a cis and trans isomer of this fatty acid that reacts differently in the body. I ain't gonna act like I know too much about it, because i obviously don't. however, i do know it is a type of omega 6 fat with a altered chemical structure causing it to react differently.
