What's the deal with Star Wars : 1 coming out on DVD but the old ones are still VHS?

This pisses me off! (well, not that much)... anyway

I thought that old George Lucas wasn't gonna release any of the Star Wars movies on DVD.... then I see this.


Which brings up another thought...... are any of the Indiana Jones movies on DVD?

Indiana Jones are not out on DVD yet, and there has really been no mention of them. Believe me, they're awaited by many.


It's gonna be a long while before we get the Star Wars DVD's out, and when they do, I bet they're gonna be the newer crappy "SE's". Oh well, I'm not that big of a fan.

Lucas said he wants to do something special for the DVD release of the original trilogy, but he is too busy with the current movies, he will get to the DVDs after he is done with these.

I think older movies take longer or something. I've been dying for the Godfather to come out {Fuck GF 3 its staying in the shrink rap forever}. Oct 9th is the date. WOOHOO.

It doesn't take longer necessarily. He wants to release them on DVD in order. That means that episodes 4,5, and 6 are several years away, at least.
