Im looking to break away from the "Name Brand" supplements, after coming across a source for pure and more cost efficent bulk protiens, creatines, and amino's. Id like to use some of these to make my own atleast i know for sure wtf im puting in to my body. Do any of you guys do this already and what would you suggest for a home brew'd post work out drink. I can get every thing that is in just about any of the popular name brands.

if you're bulking use some fast acting carbs after.. like mixxing it in juice (or drinking it on the side, perhaps with your creatine)
All natural peanut butter is also a good choice.. 1 tbsp is 100 calories.. that adds up nicely :D

perhaps a banana for 31g carbs, fairly fast acting..

I like to blend mine in milk.. makes them more pleasent to drink and reduces heartburn possibilty.

I've also tossed in some frozen berries or fruits sometimes.. it adds a nice 'zang' and some anti oxidants/vitamins/carbs..

or granola.. yum..

have fun with it.. or it gets painfully repeditive.

Fructose refills liver glycogen before spilling over into muscle glycogen stores. You'd be better off with dextrose or maltodextrin to replenish muscle glycogen pwo.

Fats slow nutrient absorption. Not that it matters too much, but you might want to avoid this immediately pwo when trying to replenish muscle glycogen and increase protein synthesis.

I use 10-20g peptopro (hydrolyzed casein), 10g Leucine, 20g whey iso, and 50g malto/dextrose.

Thanx bro this looks good but i dont know much about the malto/dextrose is this a amino, whats its function?

Maltodextrin and Dextrose

They are both simple carbs that are absorbed rapidly as glucose. They help to refill glycogen stores and shuttle nutrients into your muscles pwo.

designer whey i am useing now and 11 packs of sweettarts after every workout
