What's bodybuilding like after you turn 30?

i'm turning 32. i've never been able to break 220 until i turned 30. now 230 i'm just starting nile sus and dbol, trying to get 250. i've have a shaved head since i was 24 so the hair thing is not a problem. if your metabolism is going to slow down use it to your advantage and become a giant strong rock, and then die. throw in some pussy and that's life.

Just turned 35. I am in WAAAAYYYYYY better shape now than I've ever been. Metabolism hasn't slowed down,so I don't bother with cardio. Only been juicing for a few years now...

I'm 37, and I love the fact that most of the guys my age are going down fast because they are hopeless fat fuck couch potatos.

The older and IN SHAPE you become the more of a novelty you will be. BB'ers live by "I don't want to eat like you; I don't want to look like you: I don't want to be you!" Its our own happy way of saying "fuck you!" to this fast food culture of Homer Simpsons that I care not to participate in. So keep rockin' till they bury your ass 6 feet under.

To answer your question...more insomnia.

I'm 36 and stronger than ever before. Only my hair getting gray, maybe it's time to shave my head.

IT ROCKS!!!!

....i look better than all the young bucks i know who are 19 and 20. my muscles/structure just look somehow better than theirs....

Youth has it's advantage, but time takes it's toll.

I screwed around with weights for years...finally got serious when I was turning 30. I not competition-grade, but lots of cool things have happened since I really started to show results.

1. Except for some white hairs and falling out hair, I'm 10X better looking than 95+% of teenagers out there. I don't even look my age.

2. Young people (heck most people) don't mess with me. I recently went to a college homecoming and just showed up in my biker leathers. Two guys passed nearby and were laughing (at me--my hearing's still good) because of how I was dressed. I just had to laugh when I overheard one guy say to the other, "Yeah, but we better not laugh too loud, he's pretty big."

3. Apparently I'm good enough looking that I was seriously propositioned to make thousands of dollars a night just for performing "services" to very wealthy women.

4. Along the line of #3, I'm having the trouble getting the snake to behave itself. I thought when you get older, it didn't do stuff to embarass you. I take up bodybuilding, and the improved condition and boosted T make the anaconda show itself at some embarassing times. Didn't have that problem since I was 22.

Yeah, I say getting older is nothing to cry over. So you have a few extra aches and pains....suck it up.

BTW, in my opinion, any avid bodybuilder looks about 20 years younger than his contemporaries of the same age. It does have its payoffs.

I am only 36 and that is young to me...i look young still...in high scholl and after the Marines i probably had 15 inch arms and i weighed in at a whopping 168...i did not even think about running a cycle until i was 32...it may have only been a d-bol only cyc, but it got me hooked...now i am a trim 210 and have 19 inch arms and in better shape then i have ever been, and as i have seen posted earlier, i as well look better then a lot of those young bucks too...and i am even shocked to see how piss poor tey train as well as how weak they are....but, then again, their priorities are different now thwn mine are now...but, to my dismay...the recoup time is a bit slower then i would like...but, that is the price i have to pay if i want to be where i am at, and i have to deal with it until i croak...funny thing is, have you stopped to look at the chicks that are in their 30's, shit, they all look like they have been rode hard and put away wet....them chicks look older then me...thank god for hot young'ins...

32 y/o... AT first, I admit it was difficult turning thirty, but we must all expect the inevitable.

I do nor recover as quickly, even with better and more AS... BUT I am by far bigger and better than I ever have been. I started training at 23. I put on more size now, but leaning up takes a bit more effort.

Good luck - your best days are ahead of you!!!

you dont recover as fast, your erections are less frequent, and not as hard, food dosnt taste as good. I've actually shrank 3 inches, my balls dont hang as low. My knees and my back hurts, my attitude sucks. My metabolism is nonexistant. My elbow hurts, my neck cracks every time I turn it, I'm not as strong as I was when I was younger, or as handsome. My hair line is creeping back, while my waist size is creeping up. I have no sex drive, and I sleep 10 hours a day, with no motivation to train....................:D
Getting old sucks...............not. You adjust, it's not too bad, really.
Find a good prolotherapist and all your aches and pains will be history.

I'm 31, turning 32 pretty soon and I'm in the best shape of my life. I'm positive it will continue to get better. In fact, the past two years I have made most of my progress.

And like some of the other guys say, you start feeling more aches and pains than when you were 20 but its not enough to slow you down much.
