Whats a workable home security system for a few hundred???

I had a Radio Shack system that worked just fine until the apartment complex people stopped in unexpectedly. IT was so loud that they destroyed the alarm.

So I need something tougher.

I have a house that I don't live in....it has a couple valuables. I am mostly concerned with vandalism as they break doors down etc.

I don't need to worry too much about open windows since I don't live there. Have deadbolts on the doors. Motion sensing lights are on the outside.

before using it you have to ask who they voted for...it will make pulling the trigger that much Easier .

I have wondered if some .50 cal shells in the windows would prove to be a deterrent.

Use/abuse of animals is the same mindset as people abuse.

Put a self-close door. So when the door close after the criminal is inside, it automatically activates a high voltage system in the door handle. You'll find him burned in the floor. That's not hard to do.

Why not just get like ADT or something that calls the cops?
