Whats a good small dog to have?

We are looking to get a small dog (lap dog) very soon and am looking for somthing small with long hair and female. Our last dog was 65 lbs, short hair and male. What are some good breeds that bond well? A pomer came to mind but am looking for other reccomendations also. Gotta be cute or Ugly cute!

I was one of the people lured in here with the promise of a minature devine being...needless to say, I'm disapointed.

It it helps, there's a tribe in Africa that worships a two foot tall half-man-half-monkey statue, which is apparently a scale representation of thier God Yoruba Bunseki Fu-Kiau . Actually, I just made that up. Sounded cool though, eh? :D

For a good small dog check out your local shelters or animal rescue centers. They are always getting good dogs in. If you are looking for a full blooded one, I have two Lhasa apsa's that are great indoor dogs. They can be a little snippy at times, but they are very loyal.

If you are looking for a small god, maybe you can get a small Buddha statue?

I just wanted to make sure that I covered all the bases.;)

What about a pug? They are so adorable, and I hear that when they come from a good breeder, that they are really smart.

pomeranian! I love those! :D

Btw Bullit, I dont know if you realized this or not, but you just called your wang small.... ahh the power of a poor comment

I am fully aware of that.

This is Akhmercer, an old hindu god. He was said to be only 6 inches tall.

Kinda fucking ugly for a god though...

Have you considered getting a Cairn terrier? We have two 13-year-old Cairns, and no one can believe they're really that age. Aside from a little arthritis, which we're treating with glucosamine, they're both very spry and healthy. :)
