...if you were out of prison on parole and a violation meant you went back for life without the possibility of parole and you were about to be pulled over with an ouce of weed, or anything illegal for that matter?

Would you pull over give up and spend the rest of your life behind bars?

Would you try to run and risk endangering the lives of innocent people?

I know we are all, hopefully, pretty moral and decent people and never be put in this situation, but I always wonder when I see a suspect running from the cops on TV.

I know what I would do but I'll wait a little while before I post it.

Hard to say really. You don't know how you'll react to a situation like that until it happens.

I'd like to think I'd do the right thing and be honest about it. Chances are you're going to get caught eventually, and things are going to be even worse. If you give yourself up you might get some leniancy, although the situation you've described is pretty dire...

Anyway, people in this situation are going to be pretty fucked up and won't think morally, otherwise they wouldn't be on parole in the first place, let alone violating it!

If I knew that if I did something illegal again and would be sent to prison for life......... I sure as fuck wouldn't have an ounce (or even a seed) anywhere near me..... I would of learned my lesson and never fucked up again

If you're in that situation, its HIGHLY likely that you dont give a damn about others or the law to begin with. You'd be as nervous as a preacher in a cat house and RUN. So, to me, its not a question of if you were in the situation or not, because if you put yourself in that situation to begin with, you're most likely going to run.

I know, I know, if you had any common sense or decency you would not be in that situation in the first place.

Two incidents keep coming in my mind though. One is the one where the black guy knocks out the female cop and beats her infront of his 6 year old daughter, then says "get back in the car baby, daddy cant go back to prison."

Absolutely sadistic and evil, the guy deserves to be off the street.

The second is when these undercover vice cops busted a guy selling fifty dollars worth of crack. The dude tried to eat it but the cop in the car stopped him.

Once they took him into custody, the officer casually remarks "comes back thats his third offense and that amount of crack is enough to put him in jail for the rest of his life."

I probably saw that episode of Cops five years ago and I will never forget it. If the cop was right, that guy is sitting in prison RIGHT NOW!!

I would pull off to a side street immediately, ditch the car and run like hell. Its easier to lose the cops on foot as long as you dont stop, and you are not endangering innocent people for your fuck ups.

I saw that show. That shit was crazy. He was a pretty big dude and beat the shit out of that cop.

If I found myself in the scenario you described, I'd play it cool and act normally. If I were pulled over for a moving violation, more than likely I wouldn't be searched. If the marijuana was discovered things get a little trickier. I'd probably catch him off guard and punch him out and take off. I wouldn't beat him excessively like the guy on that show. I'd risk him popping a round off on me if it meant going to the joint for life.

Well, first off, by going on a high speed chase you also endanger your own life so i prob wouldn't want to try it. Exceptions would be if it were late at night and there was no traffic and i was driving some sweet car than i might even enjoy it. Otherwise i run like hell, wait till i am out of their sight and hide somewhere for as long as i can. If there is a dog, than keep running. Or i would hop that i had large amounts of money on hand and attempt to bribe or smooth my way out of it.
