If you saw someone with a flat tire or broke down on the side of the road?

This morning on the way to the gym I stopped to help this couple change a flat tire on the interstate. They were an elderly couple, who looked like they needed help, but all the other cars just kept going by. I stopped and helped. I might have lost 10 or 15 minutes out of my day.

The people at the gym said I was stupid for stopping, because I didn't know who they were, or who was with them. I just looked at it as someone should stop and at least offer to help.

A few years before my father died, he had a flat tire and this teenager changed it for him without being asked. Maybe this was my chance to return the favor?

Your the fucking man! That is cool shit you did.

You are a good guy Big! I've done this so many times, I can't even count. My wife gets upset with with me from time to time because she tells me something bad is eventually going to happen. I don't do it for everybody I run across but most of the times I can tell when somebody is really in trouble. There was a wreck in front of my house the other night. Five teenage boys passed on the right of a car making a right hand turn. It messed up the cars pretty good but they were still driveable. Their Blazer had a bent rim and a flat tire. It was late at night and raining and these guys didn't have a crowbar or a jack. I went out there and changed the tire for them while they finished up with the police. As odd as it might look that five teenagers riding around late at night.......there was no drugs or alcohol involved. Maybe there is hope for the future! I know I am stereotyping teenagers but I know how I was when I was that age! Good for you in your good deed!

That's the way I look at it.

You help out those you can. I didn't have an urgent apointment or anything, so why not help.

I like to think I'm a good judge of people, so I don't do too many
stupid things. I just don't understand why people are afraid to help others.

I would have helped a women with her kids, a fine girl or women, or some eldler people.

If I could help ( I knew how to change a tire, I had an extra, or a phone, or I thought I could help in SOME way ) then I definitely would have stopped.
