What would be the economic effect on the US if?

2.Quit funding all countries?
3.Doubled the Tariffs on Imports?
4.Kicked Greenpeace out of Alaska and opened it up for Oil production?

I often get pissed at the government for giving away our country, so I would like to know what you think the effect would be if we implemented these changes.. Would it make the US stronger? discuss

1. economic disaster, war and chaos and destruction of oil resources
2. how do you mean fund? by trade? or by loaning of money? i don't think we just hand out money with nothing in return, do we?? if we stopped trading with other countries the price of goods would soar...foodstuffs, metals, wood, petro, etc. meanwhile, business would fail cause not enough people have money to spend...it could be castraphoic
3. then our exports would be crippled...plus, a lotta the products that are imported, although made somewhere else, often times are american owned and based. like the toy companies, nike, etc. so with higher tariffs on imports, ultimatley usa companies (and their shareholders) would lose big time
4. i would be for responsible oil/gas exploration anywhere, we gotta have it.
