What to do about fresh stretch marks..

I got some nice red stretch marks that get redder/purpler when I do chest. I have been applying Strivectin-SD to it, but it seems that when I work out chest, I'm just aggravating it more. Not working out chest is not an option, I just want the redness to go away. I've heard of using cocoa butter, vitamin e etc, but Strivectin-SD is made for the sole purpose of stretch marks. I just really feel like I'm making things worse when I'm going heavy on chest. Is there some sort of solution to this? Perhaps stretching more? Any way to stretch the skin while not at the gym?

I used to apply vitamin E ointment 2 times a day. Seemed to help. Other than that tan and lik DT said grow slower. I don't evn care about em anymore. I stay tan so you can't really see my biceps ones. Other than that keep your arms down, lol.

I actually kinda like seeing new ones now. Means I eaither had one hell of a pump during my workout, or I'm growing.

hardrock, this is not a flame just my personal opinion. I read a couple of your posts and have come to the conclusion that you are a horrible person.

Tanning doesn't really help. These are still fresh, so they in a way almost look bloody when I am done working out. Yuck. I guess they just gotta heal.

Drink more, once you have got the beer goggles youll hardly realize how fat she is, never mind the stretchmarks

My sentiment on stretch-marks...

Bro,

here is one way I like lookin' at it....

-Stretch marks are the battle wounds you have aquired from the hard work put in at the gym. The more abundant, and bigger they become,... the more of on animal you have become.-

I have em' all over bro....bis, tris, legs, even under my nuts...lol

They will discolor, just takes some time.... keep applying that stuff...

Animal is good! But shit they look so painful lol. If they were normal colored I'd be less worried. They just look like someone sliced me with a knife!

Go to a cosmetics place. I know you'll feel gay, but seriosly they have good stuff.

My GF works for a cosmetic company. She got me some Biotherm stuff one time, and seriously it helped extremely IMO with stretch marks.:D

For _Fresh _ stretch marks (red not white) lots of studies showing that Retin-A or Renova (tretinoin) makes them go away by growing and repairing the collegen and elastin. studies were mostly on New Mothers, but skin is skin (tretinoin is the only product approved for anti-aging apploication: wrinkles lines crows feet etc. its by script, but many of the sites that will sell viagra by online "consult" also sell retin-a/renova)

If old stretch marks (white) laser treatment (Vbeam which is non-invasive- can go to work same day) has been shown to improve or eliminate, but not as sure a thing as the retin-a on fresh marks.

I am also a believer of using retin-A. Every night before I go to bed I will apply some around my shoulders. The stretch marks I had before I used Retin-A faded so you could not really see them, and I believe that is what is keeping me from developing any more. Every time I visit Mexico I will stock up on a dozen or more tubes of this stuff. Hope this helps.

Gee, you must be some kind of genius or something.:D

Gnc sells a product that is for pregnant women to prevent stretch marks. It's expensive but it should prevent any further problems.

Zinc ointment works pretty good.
Guys it has been the standard treatment since the late 80's.
It's a product of putting on weight really quick.

Not the weight used or how hard u train.

As to effectiveness, Zinc ointment is to Retin-A as Prohormones are to Steroids.

yeah dude, just go to a pharmarcy and pick up some stretch mark cream for pregnant women.

while your at it, dont work on your chest for a few days until the inflamation has gone down - clearly you dont NEED to if you are splitting at the seams. :p

G*DDAMIT:

all this other crap (vit e, zinc ointment etc) will only provide some topical relief, softening etc.

Stretch marks are the result of tearing the skin's collegen/elatin network. The ONLY thing that will actually repair and rebuild that collegen/elastin is RETIN-A RETIN-A RETIN-A (generic name Tretinoin, with mosturizer called Renova). This is supported by Placebo double blind studies, not merely gym-lore.

Enuf with the home remedies.
