what the hell is wrong with my cat?

the older cat has never worn a collar before. every time i've tried to put one on her, she has it off within an hour or two. she's about 2 1/2 now. i got collars for the cats the other night that have a bell on them. i put the collar on her and she's been cool with wearing a collar. she hasn't attempted even once to take it off, so that's definetly cool.

the kitten, however....

he has worn a collar since we first got him. when that collar got chewed through, we put a flea collar on him just to keep him used to a collar until i rememberd to buy him a new one. flea collar got taken off 2-3 weeks ago when we put some advantage on both cats.

so i put the collar on him and he's a totally different cat now. he was sleeping in the litter box the first day, so i had to pull him out and give him a bath cause that's just nasty. now he's been hiding under the couch which is completely unlike him. i always take him up to bed with me and he lays next to me. last night i fished him out from under the couch and took him to bed. he pissed on the bed in the middle of the night. i almost did a "drop kick the cat out the window" when i woke up this morning smelling cat piss.

now he's hiding under the couch again and every time i pull him out he runs right back under. could the collar with the bell be scaring him THAT much? collar went on him Sunday night and he's been a total weirdo ever since.

Your kitten is a homo. My advice, axe the bell and put a electrical zapper on it.

i could do that. i have one of those zappers for dogs. it'd be a bit much for the cat, but it'd work.

maybe the collar is from outerspace like the alien spiderman suit, it's taken over his brain

LOL

I'll take two of those collars

This doesn't sound good.....

The collar may just be a coincidence. Cats never really pee out of their boxes unless they are sick. Is he eating? Playing? Drinking water? Does he feel cold?

he was eating and drinking this morning before running under the couch.

i had him interested in a piece of string last night but then he tore ass under the couch again.

he feels warm.

i shut the bedroom door at night. he always holds it til morning, but i guess he couldn't this time. it happens.
