Just to let you guys know ups drivers make 28 dollars an hour, No usps employee is making that.
How do you know it was stolen, did he drop it off then repick it up and take the stuff out of it...? Or did you get the package and it was retaped, More then likely your package was broken open going threw the system at one of ups hubs while it was going threw the conveyor belts, then it was sent to psc which is where the damaged or broken open packages are retaped or used to pay back the customer. What may of happened is they may of taped the box back up and sent it because they had no information on what was in the package this way you can bring this information to the ups center and fill out a claim where the insurance will reinburse you.
Also ups is a private company so they have the right to search any package espically if it is leaking this way there is no terrorist problems, the best way is usps because its gov. ran and you need a warrent. However, during christmas time usps sets up a contract with ups because they can not handle all the volume so it may go threw us before it gets to the post office.
