Here's my brother fishing in the Virgin Islands recently. As a whim he walked down to the docks one early morning to see if he could get on a charter and by chance some people had backed out and he went. Needless to say, it was one of those days when everything just clicked.
Fighting a Blue Marlin
Landing the same Blue Marlin. About 275-300 pounds.
I beat him down in Florida though. I caught and landed a Goliath Grouper (actually just landed him boatside because of his weight) and didn't want to kill him so we let him go.
Estimated weight 400+ pounds. He inhaled a 10 pound Jack Crevalle I was using for bait.
Awesome fish and strength was unbelievable. Almost pulled my ass in the water. I was using stand up tackle. I don't like stand up tackle especially when the boat has low sides.
I've got originals by Andy Warhol, Hieronymous Bosch, da Vinci, Mondrian, Monet, Georgia O'Keefe, Edvard Munch, Picasso, and Dali. And that's just in the bathroom. I also keep a complete set of Shakespeare first editions in there, and a Bible that's autographed by the author.
And a 2003 ProSoundNews calendar hanging over my desk.
