SC, you want to know what makes this country great. i'll tell you from my prespective.
the people for one, i know we have some really scummy people here, but in general the majority of people in this country get along and offer a wide variety of culture and experience we can all benefit from. when our country was attacked people poured out there hearts and even opened their pockets and gave money, rolled up sleeves and gave blood, and overall came together to show the world we can put our differences aside and unite. it's a shame we could'nt hold on to that longer than a few monts but when the time comes we unite. on an individual basis it's up to you and me to make this country even better. we may have to change something within ourselves to do so but in the end it's all for the better. we have freedoms other countries do not, thus i think that makes for greatness. last but not least the love people have for our country. deep down people who are citizens love this country. the country is not dirt and water, but the people that make it up. when those 6000+ people died on 9/11, our country was attacked, we lost a building, big deal, it was the people that made up the heart of america and now that wound continues to heal. people can say our wealth and military make this country great and in a way it does, that superficial. the soul of a man/woman lives on beyond worldly possesions and what a man/woman does with that soul and how he/she uses it to better the world and or his/her fellow man makes whatever country great. point being, don't loose faith in your fellow americans, we may bicker, we may differ on certain issues but when it comes down to it we want to protect this country and preserve our freedoms and live life to the fullest.
I've said it before and i'll say it again, SC i like you. you are a strong multiracial woman with a good heart and i can tell you are concerned for your fellow man/woman. many have said you are attactive, i have'nt seen you but i bet you are, that's secondary to the fact you are a sweet and strong person. you intrigue me and if i am ever in chicago, i would love to meet you. yes we differ on many issues but aside from that we are the same. how? we are americans, we are people and we are created equal. much love to you and i wish you peace and happiness. i hope you will have faith in me and others who are trying to find common ground to work with to keep this country great. smalls, much the same to you my dear.
