What makes a person a religious maniac?

1. He/she does not LISTEN to scientific fact.

2. He/she still thinks an eclipse is a miracle

3. He/she thinks technology is evil

4. He/she is completely sure that there is a heaven and a hell

5. He/she believes in the bible. I.E. thinks its based on fact

6. He/she quotes from the bible

7. He/she believes is 100% SURE god exists. Cannot even think
its within the realm of possibility that he doesn't exist.

8. He/she thinks the stars and planets were formed
by magic.....(my personal favourite...LOL)

9. Actually believes Jesus was ressurected

10. Actually believes jesus "healed" somebody...LOL

11. Thinks the Crusades and the Inquisition were\necessary to rid the earth of the anti-religious scurge

12. Thinks the church is divine(What a crock...LOL)

13. Thinks that the church has the right to influence the
rights of individuals both LEGALLY and morally.

Alll I have to say is that if I have kids I will NEVER ever
send them to church. Why? So that some crazy old man
can molest them? Not a chance.

Also, it is commonly held knowledge that for every 1 person
that reports a molestation, 3 or 4 don't........

I will say this: More and more children that were molested WILL come out of the woodwork.
Its inevitable really.

That, IMO will bring the downfall of the church. They're insidous
grip is slowly being released because people are becoming
more aware of the churches duplicitous nature.

And duplicitous it has ALWAYS been.

Myself? I don't give a crap about any of it. God, Heaven, Hell. Whatever.

But there would be absolute chaos if everyone thought like this. No one would fear death. No one would fear consequences of any kind. It would resemble complete anarchy.

No, not really.

What about having a personal religion?

You don't have to be aprt of an instituion...you can create
your own religion.

Treating others with respect, human rights etc... is A-OK
You don't have to ally yourself with such an archaic institution
as the church to feel secure in the fact that you belong
and have a place on this earth.

for me a religious maniac is someone who is uneducated, is willing to hate, or believes in sectarianism purely due to religious beliefs, and crucially doesnt respect the views of other faiths

the vast majority of religons in this world are conservative, what do you expect, of course people are gonna be militant, especially if the religion is inheritantly militant

but not respecting anothers views doesnt make them fit into the religious maniacs views.....for all modern science has shown it cant explain with 100%why the universe is in its current state.now granted, science is more open to chnge than religon, but if someone chooses to believe religous doctrine over scientific theory/fact its their right and it doesnt make them a 'maniac'

a maniac is when their views IMHO fit what i said above andf they try and force those ideals upon others or insinuate that their beliefs are 100% superior to anothers/all other relig ions are shit/if u dont believe in my religon u are going to hell regardless of what kind of person you are/my religon makes justifcation for me doing things not acceptable to the society i currently live in

when someone like that picks up a gun i get even more worried
