JRT's are a good dog.

Definately go to a breeder to get one.

Go to some dog shows and talk to breeders and owners. JRT's require lots of attention and must be run a lot.

jack russells

I have a jack russell that is around 3 years now. Yes they are very hyper and yes the need alot of room to run. They are very smart and loves a challenge. I have found that they become less hyper the older they get. And my russell loves to hug. She will hop in your lap and put a paw on either side of your neck and give you a big ol hug. She is very sweet and I wouldnt give anything for her. They just need alot of room. RD

smart and get into a lot of trouble if they are bored and/or not challenged.

they are cute little dogs, that is for sure.

for me personally, I like dogs that are a bit more laid back.

get a real dog... if you have the room for it...

They seems to bark alot...

damnit, and i thought i had one picked out...i want a smaller dog because my parents always had medium to larg dogs, with long ass hair that sheds...gross....what about Pugs?....ah screw it, i'll just get the doberman i always wanted. teach it to kill anyone that comes withen 10 feet of me lol, i'v seen a doberman tear the shit out of a 185 pound rot before...oh sorry, yeah i want a smaller dog, that is cute, and has short hair, none of those dog Beards crap.

what about a beagle or a dachshund (although the latter are a crapshoot - sometimes they are calm, sometimes they are little nutjobs - especially the wirehaired ones)

That's screwed up!! I saw the title of your post and thought you were gonna ask what kind of dog we would buy and i was about to put i'm getting a Jack Russell Terrier! They are the BEST!
