What keeps u motivated??

I would have to say my two biggest motivational factors outside of natural drive and determination are:
1. This forum
2. Watching all the girlies check me out

Honestly tho this forum is such a big motivational thing. i cnat understand why, i guess its jsut the fact that since i post here and read here all the time, dieting is always on my mind. Throw in some dismorphia and im a fitness freak for life.... haha

This board does help, and posting my progress here does keep me motivated and on track. I also keep a picture of me when I was fat and out of shape on my fridge, if nothing else it makes me fell like puking when I see it :)

There is nothing like muscle dismorphia to keep one motivated. LoL

Same here overhead. Remembering what I looked like prior to training is enough to frighten me into staying consistant.

i just look ahead, bulking is hard for me kuz i used to be really fat, and i never want to be there again, but seeing gains at the gym helps me keep my mind on the goal,

Same here....all I have to do is look at my drivers license picture and remember what a load I used to be!

The girlies thing is always a WELCOME plus!

the attention .. its incredible how changing one's body from skin and bones into a muscular piece of stone can get one so much attention, specially from the girls - "oh my god! do you work out?" haha

Preparing for contests keeps me motivated. I don't want to be the guy on contest day that everyone is talking about because I should have stayed home.

my ego..shit sometimes its so big that i feel like kissing my biceps;) and the fact that I should be hitting 225 lbs in bench anytime soon.

Hmmm... since I'm just starting out, I keep a picture of when I looked good( :( I miss that) on the fridge.

motivation

Let's see.....

Compliments
Stares from girls
Results
Questions from people on how I train or diet
and knowing I work hard to look my best, and that it's a continuous process.

My motivation comes from my curiosity of just how good i can be.... In other words.... WHats my limit? But who really knows where that is. So, i just have to keep going and going......

anyone else here just use love of working out as their motivation?

I love the science of it. Gaining knowledge and being able to make my body do whatever I want it to is the biggest trip!!
Of course I can't forget the ladies! ( God forbid if my girlfriend reads this)

Everyone is cool on this forum, and I seriously get excited to get home from work and check out the new posts.

Cheers Everybody

Yeah, I love working out, I enjoy lifting heavy things, gives me a chance to escape my stupid job sitting at a keyboard. But I could continue to do that without looking any better at all. The fat loss is something different.

We get these cases of bottled water at work & for some reason I got the job of putting them in the fridge so they'll be cold. I can now carry 2 at a time.

Also, a pic of me when I was a size 16 helps -- no one can believe it was me! Compliments from other people is nice to a certain extent.

But the best part is what my body can now do and what I'll be able to do in the future. Watching the muscles grow, the fat melt away & having to shop for smaller clothes.
