It was my 24th birthday a few days ago and I had time to reflect on my past year...and here are some things I've learned..And I welcome others to share their thoughts as well:
1) I found out what its like to meet THE one person you will share your whole life with.
2) Friends die, and no matter how much you want to blame yourself, you can't because in essence TWO people will lose their lives then.
3) Just because 9 times out of ten, girls are evil, doesnt mean you'll never find that one
4) Growing up and being a good man is a daily process.
5) College seems more of a distant memory than anything else.
6) I stand here today and realize that it doesnt matter what i did in high school or college. Because every day is a new day with new challenges. You cannot rely on your history/past to get you through these things.
7) Atlanta is big.
8) Lot of black people in atlanta
9) Lot of mexicans/south americans in atlanta
10) Chirop....(okay i wont say the whole word LOL) school is harder than I ever imagined.
11) Finding a lifelong career that is a humbling service for mankind, has made me happier than I ever have been before
12) Being 5'11 165 and 6%bf is not big and ripped
13) Big Papa Pump really is a monster in person.
14) The world does NOT revolve around me and my desires.
15) To have one person truly love you, is better than having a million people like you a lot.
16) There are a lot more injustices in the world than my own personal problems.
17) This past year, I truly dedicated myself to the Iron and when you do that, the iron gives you the greatest gift of all: humility.
18) I have learned that sometimes I am too judgemental and brash.
19) Alcohol and clubs every weekend isn't "cool" anymore.
20) And finally, I have learned in the past year that it doesnt matter who you are, where you're from, but only where you are going. Life is a gift. Giving to others, serving others, is what being a human is. And although that was a tough lesson to understand at first (due to my immaturity) I see that now.
