What it's like to be FAT...

Well, for the first time in my life, I'm actually a fat guy.

I was 205lbs at a low bodyfat percentage. This was in April. May came around and I stopped training or taking bodybuilding seriously...after a half assed attempt at a comeback that lasted a few days, I'm up to 240lbs with much less muscle than when I was 205lbs.

I'm 5'8 btw, so this makes me a very chucky individual.

I use to worry about a few extra layers of BF that cover my abs but now I'm a full blown fat guy...here's what I learned.

1. Being fat makes you smell bad.

There's something about being fat that really makes you stink, not really because of the extra sweating. There's a certain odor that comes with being fat.

This is a little disgusting, but I was never able to get the stench off my balls. I use to be able to when I was lean, I would scrub them with Irish Spring soap before going to a chick's house. As a fat guy nothing seemed to get that smell out  It never went away.

If you think a traditionnal bodybuilding diet is bad for flatulence, you haven't followed a fat guy's diet.

2. Being fat is more acceptable than being jacked.

I noticed that people are much nicer to me when I'm fat. Even women, people are generally less intimidated by you. They may be nicer to you but they certainly don't respect you as much.

3. Being fat gives you a false sense of security in the gym

I noticed that my lift were going up, not by much but it seemed like I could handle more weight than when I'm lean. It cushions you're joints quite a bit. This is a very dangerous and you can hurt yourself...it's not bonafide strenght.

I was deadlifting a weight that was only 10 lbs heavier than a weight I had done the previous week for 3 easy reps. I nearly broke my back; I couldn't even get one rep, while in theory I should have gotten 2-3 reps.

4. Being fat doesn't affect your mobillity as much as being jacked

Very surprised, I was more mobile at 240 lbs than I was at 205lbs. I'm also more flexible.

:)

this is sad to hear......a good bro letting himself go.:(

so you think people except you more then they would myself huh?
i can see that: sure the fat guy is less intimidating cause everyone around him can say hey im not fit but im not that either;)

If you want to help with your "nut sack smell" you can try putting some baby powder or gold bond in your drawers--I always do that anyway as it helps with smell and dampness, but it also helps when your thighs touch each other as mine do (less chaffing/irritation). Also remember to wear loose fitting underwear or none at all, as this helps with getting some air into that nastiness!

;)

You're working too hard bro. I know cause the same thing happened to 2 years ago. I was writing a book and after getting home from work around 6pm I'd spend 6pm till 12pm-1am writing. I then would have to get up at 6:30am to get back to work.

My only advice is to try and plan out and precook your meals. You know diet is the key and you're a smart guy, you'll get back down there soon enough. Good luck bro!! You can do it, it's all about balance.

We've all went thru that slump where we would like to be doing other stuff or we get hurt and can't workout for a while. The winners are the ones that get their butts back in there and stick with it no matter how much they dread it. Now that being said, I don't know you personally, but I do know by your other posts that you will get back in there and hit it hard again. Just don't ever give up - you've put too much time and effort in BB already to let it just slip away.

well i think i speak for the rest of the vets on here when i say that you should stop making these goofy posts to make fun of your fat ass, and instead go back to the gym and work on bringing back the JACKED-UP-BIGANDY69 that we all know and respect and leave the fat-ass in the past as something you experimented with and just decided was not for you.

on the serious note, nice to hear from you bro.....and lets ditch cheese cake and cookies.............you know as well as i do its a worthy sacrifice

All of your points, although funny and sad, are very true. Especially the mobility part. The harder and leaner I am, the less flexible I am.

Also, at 5'8" and 240 with higher bodyfat, you're not healthy bro. At least you have taken the first step to a comeback by admitting it. Change your diet, don't worry about lifting more weights, do more reps with less weight and do some cardio in the morning.

Why am I telling you this, you know this already!?!?!?!
Come on fat-ass. Get back on track.
