what is everyone's monthly cost of living? i'm not talking about how much you spend on the non-necessities, just stuff like rent, food, insurance, etc.

It's nice to live so cheaply.

Leaves a a nice tidy sum for me at the end of the day.

Pity my food bill is 400-500$ a month on top of that.

Housing is dirt cheap here.

I have a 2 bedroom apt for 400$ a month.

Winnipeg.

One of the cheapest areas in the country to live.

Boring as hell though.

I suppose that explains the proliferation of alcohol related businesses.

An interesting side note: Though housing, vehicle insurance and many other services are very inexpensive here, cigarettes are slightly over 10$ a pack.

A 1 pack a day smoker spends approx. 300$ per month on smokes. Insanity.
