What is your Goal?

Exactly as the Thread title says. What are your goals? Exact goals?
I think that this is something that is overlooked a little bit for a lot of people. We train trying to be bigger or more 'toned' or ripped! But how big or lean?
Writing down your short term and long term goals is very important. Also having a visual has been proven to making your vision a reality. Cut out a picture in a mag and paste your head on top. See yourself in that body or doing those heavy lifts!
If your goal is to be 200 lbs at 6%, then write it down, look and read it everyday. Always in the present tense. I am 200 lbs at 6% bf.
Do these things and remember to keep making these goals to achieve your elite body!

This is proven in all types of situations other than physical. Try it for success too! All the successful people use this and I'm sure Jay and Ronnie too!

im 5'9" 215 lbs 15 %

short term goal : cutting down bf to about 10%

long term goal 225 8 % bf

i gain on mass really freaky quickly but that fat is so damn hard to et rid of

It's tough to do at first, but it's something that will be natural after a little while.
Those are great goals btw! write the down and set a date!

i carry a "fat" pic of me in my wallet next to a pic of arnold ( :rainbow: lol) but hell it works
 
My short term goal would be a lean 225 but every time I get close when I lean down I lose to much and I end up 205lbs. My other goal would be a threesome with Japaneese twins, Females of course..I know what you were going to say..

its a good goal mate, and a realistic one too, im sure, good luck with it. just dont forget the pics...
im currently sitting at a very lean 186lbs, my goal is to crack 200lbs, i genuinely think i can do it in 9/10 months.
 
I think my body is so conditioned to loose weight in the summer because I used to work outside in the heat all day and then I rode a bike about 150 miles a week. Im Just going to try to maintane my weight untill the fall and then maybe do a pretty serious mass-builder..But anyway good luck with your goals man, I hope you bust right through them...
 
thank you, i will smash my goals to bits lol. it really does help knowing that there is many sound and knowledgable people here willing to help. i really love this place, we have the best forum on the net without a shadow of doubt.
 
My goals are all performance based...

Squat 2 x bodyweight
Overhead Squat bodyweight x 15 reps
run 400m in 1:04
Deadlift 2.5 x BW
clean 1.5 x BW
800m run in 2:50
500m row in 1:25
40 pull-ups in a row
Snatch 1 x BW
1 mile run in 6 minutes
50 dips on gymnastic rings
60 push ups on rings

...the list goes on and on...

I guess I also wouldn't mind being about 205-210 @ less than 10% bf... the other things are far more important though.

Do it to it bro, I started at 185lbs skinny fat and stoned.. Ended up at 305lbs fat fat with decent strength and stamina for someone my size, 2 years later I got back down to 198 damn strong with crazy stamina.. i'm now 210 at 14% and getting bigger and leaner.

You can do it, stay focused, and follow the plan.
 
I'm probably one of the few people here who exercises solely for health benefits. Not looking to add more muscle, lose more fat, etc. I'm happy where I am.
 
I guess I've only thought about this in a very general sense. Namely, I want to get as strong as possible. I'm still a relative n00b when it comes to lifting so I haven't really thought about actual numbers. I've just wanted to progress every week.

By the end of the year I want to do the following:

Squat: 300 for 5 reps

Deadlift: 350 for 5 reps

Bench: 235 for 5 reps
 
well I'm about 5'9 185 bf 10-12% i can see my upper 2 abs but I guess i want a shredded 6 pack, bench 225 20 times, squat 315 12 times, and get 18 inch arms.

As for me; I wanted to be 250 @ 6% by 31-32yrs, I am 25 . But now I would rather be 220-225 at 6-8%. I will be there in a few years. Dec 1 2008 - 200lbs at 6-7%.
I would rather be healthier then HUGE!
