damn I am surprised that NO ONE uses ISOPURE from nature's best , awesome shit , no lactose , no sugar , no fat . Just pure protein loaded with BCAA and L- glutamine . Somtimes , I also use Designer Whey , awesome shit it is also loaded with L-glutamine .

Haven't tried them all in my day, but I like ON's mixed with Keto-Cocoa. Cytosport's CytoPro was good, but they must have changed the formula cause it was very grainy the last few times I tried it. I tried a custom blend from PF with a sweetener added to it and it was still pretty bad. reminded of how protein powder used to taste when I first started drinking them back in the day.

For a blend I use Pro-Complex vanilla by Optimum. Shit tastes good as hell in milk!

Steak flank 7.99/16oz
Chicken breast 4.79/16oz
Myoplex Carb Sense 44oz/>$8
4oz = 25G protein + creatine and all that good stuff = $2 = tastes awesome
4oz = 26G protein + creatine and all that good stuff = $1.15 = tastes awesome with proper seasoning

11oz = 25G protein ( how much of this synthetic shit do you think youre body is absorbing? ) - creatine = 2$ = tastes like raw cabbage that someone wiped their ass with

Food is cheap and is simply the best absorbed protein. Buy tupperware and store 4oz at a time with some type of side and put in youre backpack.

I am biased torward protein drinks, I can not drink them anymore, I get ill and for some reason I have to drink 3 gallons of water so I do not feel dehydrated. Only with protein drinks , does not matter who makes it.

Designer mixed with milk and 1/2 banana. Tastes great, usually a double dose though to get the extra protein.

AST's VP2... expensive as hell.. but I have never really noticed a big difference between proteins until i tried this one.. put on 5lbs natty in a very short time.. a solid weight increase... one of the best out there in my opinion.. just overpriced as hell

It's an isolate, just like Isopure.....which is expensive as f too..........isolates are pure brutha.....

If it's wrong then I am mis-reading the label that says 35 grams of carbs per serving.

Why would you want to take carbs and cause and insulin response when you're going to sleep? You're already going to slow down and burn less fat so why would you go to bed with insulin circulating and shutting down your bodies fat burning capabilities completely. Your body stops burning fat in the presence of insulin.

Do you guys think that the isolates are worth the extra money? AST's VP2 can be had fairly inexpensively if you know where to look. I'm currently using O.N. 100% Whey. Do you think I would notice a difference?

I normally use O.N. 100% Whey.. and I tried VP2 for like 2 months and saw an amazing difference.. in my body.. in my recovery.. and in my wallet.. lol.. if you can find it cheap.. please give me your hook up.. if you've got the money to blow.. i think it's definatly worth it.. protein can often times be overlooked..

>>> So true , before sleeping a combo of protein + EFA's are the best choice , the EFA's will slower the absorption of the protein and it will make your sleep less catabolic than it would normally be .. Well if you want to add carbs before sleep , make sure it is extremly low glycemic and eat lotsa fiber , that will also help to slower the release of insulin ... it will help a lot .

you are misreading the label man.....cmon...............isopure isolate protein......50g of pro, 0 fat, 0 sugar, 0 carbs.....one of the FEW!

AND...................carbs are not the devil before bed.....get a grip.

You said that before. Repeating it doesn't make it true. Can I hear your argument to what I posted? I am telling you exactly why you shouldn't eat carbs before bed and your response is that carbs are not the devil. That's hardly an argument.

You're right I was looking at the MRP ISOPURE not the whey product.

Penta from PF for everyday needs, and Big Blast for post-workout.

I actually got good energy spikes from the GNC PM Protein brand. It's a 60%/40% blend of Whey/Casein (fastest digesting/slowest). It's a nice substitute if you run low on the good stuff.

Moose steak is the best tasting protein , i think. Egg whites are the best. Forget about what type of protein powder to use it doesent realy matter if you dont manage to eat enough solid foods. mix eggwhites in your shake if u want a better shake. add casein or eat some cootage chesse before u slepp. dont waste your money on new and better powders they arent realy that much of an advantage.

I really like MRM's Metabolic Whey protein.

The chocolate flavor has a nice texture, is creamy and tastes good. It is superior to Optimum Nutrition chocolate in flavor and texture and just as good quality and results imo.

Excluding powders, my absolute favorite is Organic, Grass-Fed beef. Pemmican bars, steaks and cooked ground beef. Very anabolic and healthy.
