What is wrong with some people??

Today was the first day I really felt good enough to go anywhere. I dolled up, my bf helped me with my hair as I couldn't get it to look normal with 1 hand (and he painted my nails too). Anyhow, it was lovely out so we went out to wander outside and grab dinner.

I was all dolled up but wearing a sling (so I can keep ice on my arm). Some guy stopped us and started chewing out my bf and lecturing him on how it's wrong to push women around/hurt them....and he kept saying to me; "it's okay honey, you don't even have to say anything". I was so pissed. Why the hell would someone say something like that?? We were just chatting and wandering arm in arm (I'm still kinda dizzy when I'm up and about). Is that your first thought if you see a couple with the woman injured??

I suppose it's like last time I got my wrist done and strangers asked my (looking at my bandaged wrist) "botched suicide attempt"? :(

Thats crazy- its a wonder your bf didn't put his foot down the guys throat. ;)

I actually fell in the shower yesterday while J was at work. My owied hand was fine but it looks like someone attacked my right leg with a hammer and I have a bump on the right side of my head. I'm lucky I didn't get really hurt. I guess being goofy on meds and showering when I'm home alone is a bad combo.

Raina, I hope your bf was at least nice enough to chain you to the nearest tree while he explained to this guy about your surgery in case you wanted to run off.

I'm surprised that someone got into your and your bf's face and assumed, but I'm even more surprised your bf knew how to do your hair and nails. :D Anyway, hope you're healing nicely :) .

Raina, try soaking in a nice bubble bath and when you get out, do it slowly, after the water is out! Your b/f can help do your hair in the sink. :)

I'm impressed with the nail thing too! Feel better soon. :rainbow:

I suppose I wrote that in a way that makes it sound like he was prancin' around french braiding my hari. lol Mostly I needed him to help me section it out so I could curl it. I'm not sure I'd trust him with a curling iron. ;)

He thought the whole situation was half embarassing and half absurd....thus he just replied "well sometimes she deserves it-- she likes to talk back" then we walked away. I just think it was incredibly rude.

I would have said "Can I help it if she is that kinky?"

Better yet...while you're in this debilitated state. Blacken your boyfriends eye and bruce him up a bit. Then get T-shirts one that says "Rough" for you to wear and one that says "Sex" for him.

your bf handled it nicely. Like he had to explain to some stranger that you go surgery.

He should have just smirked at the guy and said fuck off buddy.

My wife gets insinuating remarks constantly because she bruises very very easily. It becomes very tiresome. Especially since she beats me every other day. The irony of it all.

sucks to hear. he handled it right though. same happened to my g-friend and I after she got lockgaw one night we went out for dinner. That sucked.

typical

guys always are chivalrous to good looking women

if you were rosanne barr i doubt he would have even made a comment like that. guys lke that make me mad, because they are always the ones who step up and try and get in peoples faces when they 'percieve' a women might be in trouble

i mean gimme a fucking break....she has a brain, if she needs help she'll fuckng ask for it. until she wants it there;s little point offering it. assuming your bf is a abuser is just plain dumb. especially now we know he helped you with your nails :D
