What is wrong with BROWN minute rice?

I've read other posts and heard people say not to eat minute rice, they say to eat real brown rice instead. Whats wrong with brown minute rice?

despite what you may read the GI/GR of brown vs white rice is comparable. brown rice is higher in good fats and vitamins/minerals. white rice is less nutritious as the milling process strips most of the nutrients off so all you are left with is the starch.

I'm asking about minute rice, whats wrong with minute rice!

Before FF goes completely off the deep end on this one, maybe I can help. :D

There's nothing wrong with minute rice, per se. People down it not because it's instant rice, but for the reasons FF mentioned.

but for the reasons FF mentioned.

What reason is that?
The only reasons that FF mentioned is that white rice is less nutritious as the milling process strips most of the nutrients off so all you are left with is the starch.
Which is once again not what I have asked.

I'm not asking about white rice or white minute rice, I'm asking what is wrong with BROWN MINUTE RICE!

For it to be able to cook up so quick it is already par-boiled. This strips the nutrients and raises the GI considerably. It is like having instant oats, versus regular oats. Not a HUGE difference, but I stick with the authentic oats, and real brown rice. Hope that helps.
