Hit 97 once, out in the great American West. Doesn't sound like much except it was in a '75 Honda Civic. The engine wasn't redlined, but there just wasn't any horsepower left to overcome the wind resistance.

I have gone about 110 in an old '89 cougar, and about 100 in my jeep grand. I feel no need to go that fast again.

I had the needle buried at 140 on I-85 coming from Atlanta - it was so fast that the telephone poles looked like they were curved as they flew past.

91 - Mustang LX - 5.0 liter

In April '98 a couple weeks after I bought my civic I hit 113 on the NY State Thruway headed for Hunter Mountain. Hit a bend that spooked me into slowing down.
In June '99 I reached 114 on I-85 driving to Norcross. There were other cars keeping pace.
