I couldnt disagree more. I think that while the barbell bench press has its place, it is more of an ego lift than anything else. I know, at least for me, that when i use flat bench in my chest routine, my chest does not grow as quickly.
Inlcine bench presses seem much more useful. However I personally like incline dumbell presses. They seem to spark the most growth in my chest, as well as developing my inner chest nicely due to the nice squeeze you get at the top. But not everything works the same for everyone of course.
